Time for the homeless offers an entirely voluntary service running soup kitchens
throughout the week in Medway & Maidstone, Kent (feeding 50 to 80 vulnerable homeless individuals at each session).
We also offer clean clothes, sleeping bags, tents, sanitary products, toiletries and first aid items. Our contact builds a trust enabling us to provide advice and sign posting to other agencies: for example: homeless charities, mental health and addiction specialist.
Our outreach programme provides food and essentials parcels which are delivered to persons who are unable to attend our soup kitchens but are in need of assistance (self referral, referrals from agencies or individuals).
Our long term ambition is to open an outreach hub where we could time table services from specialist organisations and individuals.
Our volunteers include solicitors, legal advisers, hairdressers and wellbeing coaches, to name but a few.
We are currently constrained by a lack of dedicated space from offering all of their services.
Our Hub could also include a laundry, short term secure personal possession storage and personal hygiene facilities.
